The socialist party has emphasized its role in this intervention, deemed crucial for local residents. They have consistently denounced the "unacceptable and dangerous" condition of this vital road for local connectivity.
In October 2025, the PSOE of Almonte submitted a motion to the municipal plenary session, demanding urgent repairs from the Junta de Andalucía and the implementation of the promised third lane. Additionally, they requested provisional paving to ensure traffic safety while definitive works were carried out.
We have been warning about the critical state of the road for too long.
The party also initiated a request for an appearance in the Andalusian Parliament for the Minister of Public Works to explain the measures planned for the road's deterioration. These actions were complemented by public demands, on-site visits, and citizen complaints, which, according to the PSOE, maintained continuous pressure on the competent administrations.
The socialists have affirmed that the Junta's current intervention is a direct result of their efforts, asserting their role in defending Almonte's interests. They have criticized the Almonte City Council for celebrating the start of the works on social media, calling this attitude a "mockery".
According to the PSOE, the mayor has not shown the necessary firmness to demand a solution, insisting that the action on the A-483 is due to their party's drive in various institutions.
