The forest fire, which started on August 6th in the Raboconejo area of Niebla (Huelva), is showing favorable progress, allowing 154 residents evacuated as a precaution to return.

The fire, which remains contained within its established perimeter, has allowed Antonio Sanz, first vice-president of the Junta de Andalucía, to authorize the orderly and safe return of 154 people on Saturday night. With these new authorizations, the total number of residents who have been able to return to their homes since the emergency began now stands at 328.
Among those affected by this measure are 14 residents from Marigenta (in Zalamea la Real) and 140 people from El Madroño (Seville), in addition to those from the hamlets of Juan Gallego, Villagordo, and Juan Antón. The return has been made possible after confirming the fire's stability throughout the day.
Sanz specified that the fire remains contained within its inner perimeter and that current efforts are concentrated on the eastern sector, particularly in the area between El Álamo and Aznalcóllar (Seville). In this region, emergency teams are working to extinguish small flare-ups and hot spots to prevent re-ignition.
During the emergency, up to a thousand personnel and 353 material resources, including 21 fire engines, 18 bulldozers, and 33 aerial units, have participated in firefighting efforts. For Sunday, a progressive reduction of personnel from the Military Emergencies Unit (UME) and forest brigades is being considered if the situation continues to improve, although work has been intense overnight.
The authorization for residents to return has led to modifications in some road closures. To facilitate access to Marigenta, the control point on the HU-5104 has been moved from kilometer 6 to 8.5, and the HU-6104 between Las Delgadas and Marigenta has been reopened. Access to El Madroño, Juan Gallego, Villagordo, and Juan Antón has also been enabled via roads HU-6106, SE-6402, SE-6401, and an authorized section of the SE-5400.
However, some road closures remain in effect. The SE-5400 will stay closed between Villargordo and El Álamo, as will the SE-6400, the access road to El Álamo. In the southern sector, the reopening of the HU-6108 between Paterna del Campo and Tujena has been permitted, although access roads to Chorrito, Viguera, and La Chata continue to be closed.
