Spectacular images from the fire in Villanueva de los Castillejos, in the province of Huelva, show an imposing column of smoke tingeing the sky orange, visible even from Huelva city. The fire is located in the Los Turbios area.

Given the scale of the incident, Phase 1 of the Emergency Plan has been activated. A deployment comprising about twenty aerial units and over a hundred ground firefighters is working intensely to extinguish the flames.

The photographs capture the intensity of the fire, with smoke spreading and covering large areas, causing significant concern in the region.
