The intervention began in the waters of the Guadiana River and continued into the Ayamonte marina. Eyewitnesses reported that the recreational boat was occupied by two to three very young individuals, some wearing ski masks.
Upon being pursued by the Portuguese vessel, the occupants of the launch jumped into the water and fled, causing a stir among onlookers present in the area.

No arrests have been reported at this time. Initial theories suggest a possible link to drug trafficking activities, although this remains unconfirmed and is part of the circumstances to be clarified by the authorities.
