Since its implementation in September 2016, the Línea Verde service has become a direct channel between citizens and the Ayamonte City Council for reporting municipal damages. This initiative promotes good environmental practices and contributes to the development of a sustainable municipality.
Residents have shown excellent reception to the service, evidenced by its continuous use. The most frequent incidents reported relate to “Public Street Cleaning” (19%), followed by “Public Lighting” (11%), “Sidewalk Maintenance” (9%), “Signage” (8%), “Parks and Gardens” (8%), “Urban Furniture” (6%), “Furniture and Appliance Collection” (5%), and “Waste and Containers” (5%).
To use Línea Verde, users must download the free APP from Google Play or the APP Store. Once installed, the municipality is selected, and “New Incident” is pressed. The application automatically detects the incident's coordinates, allows attaching a photo and observation before sending. Municipal staff receive the notification, and the resolution process begins, with the citizen being informed of any status changes.
In addition to reporting incidents, Línea Verde allows users to submit environmental queries. Users receive responses from experts within a maximum of 24 hours, free of charge. The service is also available via the website [www.lineaverdeayamonte.es](http://www.lineaverdeayamonte.es), which offers additional content on best practices and municipal information.
The service is complemented by telephone support at 902 193 768 (from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) and direct informational communications from the City Council, keeping residents updated. The council appreciates the high citizen participation, reflecting the residents' involvement with their municipality.
