Ayamonte has concluded its Patron Saint Festivals in honor of the Virgen de las Angustias with a very positive outcome, marked by high participation, a successful music program, and advances in accessibility.

The Patron Saint Festivals of Ayamonte have gathered thousands of people, both locals and visitors, in a celebration that combined tradition, music, culture, sports, and activities for all audiences. The City Council highlighted the positive response to the musical performances and the development of increasingly accessible and inclusive festivals.
Mayor Alberto Fernández noted that the festivals proceeded normally without significant incidents. The program included traditional events honoring the Patron Saint, alongside musical, cultural, and sporting activities. The concert area, featuring performances by artists such as Antonio José, Angeliyo El Blanco, and Mujeres por Sevillanas, was very well-received, showcasing the appeal of a diverse offering.
The fairground, with its nine marquees and an expanded Municipal Marquee, served as another hub of activity. Accessibility and inclusion were central themes, with the paving of the fairground entrance, reserved parking spaces for people with reduced mobility, and a new, more accessible restroom module. The children's program also included reduced prices and quiet hours.
Security was enhanced with emergency exits, access control at the concert venue, expanded Civil Protection and Local Police facilities, and improved lighting in nearby streets. The mayor reiterated the commitment to continuously improve the festivals to make them more accessible, inclusive, and safer.
In addition to the festive and musical program, the 68th International Painting Exhibition “Ciudad de Ayamonte” was held, and the first “Virgen de las Angustias” Petanque Tournament was introduced. Religious events, such as the Floral Offering and the Solemn Procession of the Patron Saint, maintained their traditional prominence.
