The renovation of the rubber flooring in the children's park in the San Lucas neighborhood has been completed, marking a significant upgrade for this public leisure area. Mayor Carmen Álvarez, accompanied by the Infrastructure delegate, David Cáceres, highlighted the comprehensive reform the neighborhood has undergone.
Other completed works in San Lucas include the refurbishment of sidewalks. The asphalting of the neighborhood's streets is pending, and the contract is currently out for tender, with execution expected soon, according to the Mayor.
In the adjacent Barriada de los Maestros, next to El Botánico, accessibility and all sidewalks have also been improved. Similar to San Lucas, the asphalting of its streets is pending. The Faustino Míguez area, in the same vicinity, has also seen investments.
Mayor Álvarez indicated that the City Council will seek future subsidies to carry out other necessary actions in these neighborhoods. She emphasized the fulfillment of the commitment made to the residents of San Lucas and Barriada de los Maestros, stating that the comprehensive repair of this area of Sanlúcar will be completed.
Furthermore, she reiterated that it is a priority objective of the local government to continue investing neighborhood by neighborhood, focusing on improvements to public spaces and accessibility for all residents.
