Construction work at Caño de la Mojarra in Ayamonte, with heavy machinery and workers.
The Ayamonte City Council has announced the commencement of works in Caño de la Mojarra, located in the Punta del Moral neighborhood, an action aimed at resolving a historical road and pedestrian safety issue in the area.
This long-awaited project has been made possible by a favorable report that grants the occupation concession of the Maritime-Terrestrial Public Domain for a period of 30 years to the local council. The intervention will focus on adapting the road that connects various areas of Punta del Moral, an infrastructure that currently poses a constant risk to those who travel through it.
“
"This is an absolutely necessary action for the people of Ayamonte and responds to a historical demand from the residents of Punta del Moral, which we committed to and which will soon be a reality."
The municipal official recalled that this dirt path was built more than thirty years ago and, since then, has been a point of risk without any intervention. Throughout the current legislature, intensive work has been carried out to obtain the necessary permits and make this improvement possible, which will put an end to the dangerousness of the section.
The work is the result of collaboration between the Junta de Andalucía, the City Council, and the Pryconsa Group, the company responsible for its execution. Work is expected to begin next week and last an estimated six to eight weeks.
“
"The concession of the Maritime-Terrestrial Public Domain of Caño de la Mojarra to the City Council for the next thirty years will not only allow this highly relevant action to be carried out, but also facilitate future maintenance and conservation tasks without the need for new authorizations."
The delegate also emphasized that this project is a clear example of cooperation between administrations and the ability to respond to a historical problem in the city.
