The match, with free admission, is part of the 'Month of Circumnavigation' program and aims to recognize the career of Ramón Rodríguez Daza, the first footballer born in Sanlúcar de Barrameda to debut in Spain's First Division.
The municipal delegate for Sports, David González, presented the event's poster, highlighting Daza's figure as an athlete who brought the city's name to major stadiums. Also present at the presentation were Jesús Hernández Ponce, vice-president of Juventud Sanluqueña, and player Jesús Prado.
Ramón Rodríguez Daza began his career at Atlético Sanluqueño and trained in the lower categories of Cádiz football. His debut in the First Division was with Cádiz C.F. in the 1977-1978 season. He later played several seasons in the Second Division with the yellow team, before playing three seasons in the First Division with Real Betis (1980-1983) and concluding his career with Granada C.F. for five seasons.
David González encouraged fans to attend this match, calling Daza a prominent figure in Sanlúcar's sporting history and a pioneer for new generations. He emphasized that this event contributes to the diverse cultural and sporting offerings of the 'Month of Circumnavigation,' organized by the City Council in collaboration with the Círculo de Artesanos and the La Orilla beach bar.
