The 2026 Manzanilla Fair in Sanlúcar de Barrameda officially begins this Tuesday with the traditional lighting ceremony, featuring new LED technology, and will run until Sunday, June 7th.

The main entrance arch of the fairground, located near the fountain on the Paseo Marítimo, will host the inaugural event at 10:30 PM, presided over by Mayor Carmen Álvarez. This ceremony marks the start of the festivities, which promise an intense schedule of activities.
Prior to the official lighting, starting at 9:15 PM, singer Alba Bazán, accompanied by guitarist Manuel Alfonseca ‘Lin’, will perform. The event will also feature the Association Filarmónica Banda de Música ‘Julián Cerdán’ and a collective toast with local manzanilla wine.
A key innovation in infrastructure is the complete renovation of the garland and lantern ceiling with LED technology, adding 90,000 new light points. On the first night of the fair, musical activities within the stalls will exceptionally extend until 3:30 AM.
The Municipal Booth (Caseta Municipal) will be a central hub with daily performances and DJ entertainment. The musical lineup includes artists such as Pakuki, Afanas Dance Group, Son Farina’s, Luz de Luna, Alba Bazán, Cristian Díaz, Son del Sur, Modo Avión, ‘Elisabet Jurado’ Flamenco Dance School, María Jiménez, SalMarina, Los Random, Nayke Ponce, Quitasueños, Las Carlotas & Cintia Merino, and Gonzalo Alhambra, in addition to flamenco groups.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the Municipal Booth will host the Sevillanas Dance Competition. The awards ceremony for this competition, along with the awards for the Stall Decoration Contest, will take place on Friday at 8:30 PM.
Wednesday will feature 'Children's Day' with reduced prices at the amusement park. For individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), attractions will operate without music on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and they will have access to a priority entry card.
The Violet Point, dedicated to preventing gender-based violence, will be permanently located on La Calzada promenade, next to the Municipal Tourist Office. The urban transport company Tussa will provide reinforced services, extending bus operating hours until 1:30 AM on Tuesday, 4:00 AM on Wednesday and Thursday, and 5:00 AM on Friday and Saturday.
The weekend will see the return of equestrian tradition with horse and carriage rides authorized for Friday and Saturday between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
The El Pino Bullring will host the bullfighting events. On Saturday at 7:00 PM, the fifth selection of the XXVIII Calf Fighting Cycle will take place, and on Sunday, at the same time, the traditional fair bullfight will feature matadors Alejandro Talavante, Roca Rey, and Pablo Aguado.
