The city in Cádiz will present an attractive five-day program, designed by the City Council, aiming to showcase the heritage, history, nature, gastronomy, and wine richness of Sanlúcar. The activities are intended for both visitors and local residents.
Among the highlights are guided tours to emblematic sites such as the gardens of the Palacio de Orleans-Borbón, the Ducal Palace of Medina Sidonia, and the Castle of Santiago. Historical routes focusing on the First Circumnavigation of the World, a fundamental milestone in the city's history, will also be offered.
Sanlúcar's natural environment will take center stage with 4x4 routes for birdwatching in the Bonanza salt flats and marshes and the La Algaida pine forest. Additionally, kayak tours will connect Sanlúcar with the Doñana beach.
The offerings are complemented by enological and gastronomic activities, including tastings, winery visits, and vineyard experiences. Accessibility and outreach initiatives are also planned, such as a guided tour of the Spanish Soap Center and the Sanlúcar Botánica activity interpreted in sign language.
The program will conclude on Sunday, September 27, with an open house at the new interpretation center for the First Circumnavigation of the World, ‘Exploraterra Sanlúcar’, located at the Castillito de Bajo de Guía.
