The Plenary of the Sanlúcar City Council has unanimously given the green light to two urban planning procedures of great social relevance. Firstly, the land use of a municipal plot on Avenida de la Manzanilla has been modified for the construction of protected housing for the elderly, promoted by the Fundación Aras.
This future residence will have 56 places, distributed in 33 protected rental accommodations. It will be specially designed for people over 65 with physical or psychological disabilities, as well as for groups at risk of social exclusion. The mayor, Carmen Álvarez, maintains contact with the president of Fundación Aras, Patrocinio Fraga, and the Junta de Andalucía to expedite the completion of the works.
Secondly, the detailed study of block Y in Bonanza has been definitively approved, which will allow the expansion of the Early Childhood Education Center ‘Fernando de Magallanes’ of Afanas Sanlúcar-Chipiona-Rota-Trebujena. This regional association offers inclusive care for children aged 0 to 3 years.
The mayor has highlighted the importance of these unanimous agreements, which represent support for the social work carried out by Fundación Aras and Afanas in Sanlúcar.
