The extensive, wild golden sand beach of Punta Candor, located in Rota, attracted a large crowd of locals and tourists on the last Sunday of June. Hundreds of people gathered with their umbrellas, towels, hammocks, and coolers along its nearly kilometer and a half stretch, taking advantage of the sunny and clear weather conditions.
Temperatures ranged between 21°C and 28°C, inviting many to cool off in the Atlantic waters, which remained around 23°C. The day proceeded with a green flag flying, indicating safe swimming conditions, and moderate westerly winds blowing between 18 and 30 kilometers per hour.
However, the presence of plastics and trash in the water was noticed by bathers. One user, visibly committed to the environment, removed a sizable piece of plastic from the sea. "I take out everything I can. Imagine if a fish ate this," she commented. She added that compared to twenty years ago, when she used to come with her children, the beach was even dirtier.

The beach's parking area, caravan zone, beach bars, and kiosk were almost completely full, reflecting the coastal spot's popularity.
