The Municipal Theater of Sanlúcar hosted last Wednesday the flamenco show Mano a Mano, a performance headlined by Antonio Reyes from Chiclana and Jesús Méndez from Jerez. The event, organized by Aguatapá Eventos with the collaboration of the City Council, brought together more than 2,000 people.
The show, conceived specifically for its staging in Sanlúcar, featured the special collaboration of the 'jondo' flutist Juan Parrilla as a guest artist. The musical accompaniment was completed by the guitars of Paco León and Joni Jiménez, the percussion of Fae Ramos, and the handclaps of Diego Montoya, Tate Núñez, and Ramón Reyes.
This 'mano a mano' marked the debut of Antonio Reyes on a stage in Sanlúcar. The evening was designed as a different proposal from the usual summer flamenco festivals, with the interaction between the artists being one of its main distinguishing features.
“"It was a genuine pleasure to see the Municipal Theater full of people enjoying it from beginning to end."
The mayor, Carmen Álvarez, who attended the performance, stated that "it was a genuine pleasure to see the Municipal Theater full of people enjoying it from beginning to end." Carmen Álvarez publicly expressed her gratitude "to Antonio Reyes, Jesús Méndez, all the artists who accompanied them, and, of course, to Aguatapá Eventos," highlighting that Sanlúcar was left with "the good taste of a beautiful night and a strong desire to continue filling the city with culture, music, and great moments."
