This measure, detailed in a written response to a question from the Popular Party in Congress, aims to ensure the restoration of damages suffered by the Cádiz coastline. Initial works will focus on key municipalities such as Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Chipiona, Rota, El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz, San Fernando, Chiclana, Conil, Vejer, Barbate, and Tarifa.
The planned interventions will primarily consist of sand movements and contributions from various sources to restore the most damaged areas. This action complements other initiatives to protect the Andalusian coast.
“"On March 2, 2026, the Secretary of State for the Environment approved emergency works on several Andalusian beaches for a total of 12 million euros, half of which will be specifically allocated to the province of Cádiz."
With this significant investment, the Government reaffirms its commitment to coastal protection and the immediate recovery of coastal areas most affected by recent weather phenomena.
