The Central Plaza of La Algaida will host the 45th Pepper Festival from July 31 to August 2, honoring the region's farmers and horticultural products.

The mayor, Carmen Álvarez, along with the delegate of Bonanza-La Algaida, David Cáceres, presented the event's poster and program at the Municipal Palace. Guancho Ibáñez and María Dolores Daza from the Association of the Three Kings of La Algaida and Los Llanos de Bonanza were also present.
The celebration will begin on Friday, July 31, with the presentation of the queens, ladies, and escorts, accompanied by musical performances. On Saturday, August 1, a new feature will be the Round Table of the Elders of La Algaida and Los Llanos, followed by a tribute to the local elder couple and other performances.
The closing day, Sunday, August 2, will include a recognition for the “pimienteros” (pepper growers) and the “papero” (potato grower) from the cooperatives Frusana and Virgen del Rocío, as well as the Mercado Montilla. The event will conclude with a farewell dance for the queens, ladies, and escorts. Throughout the three days, there will be a charity tombola and pepper tastings.
The mayor highlighted that this festival, now in its 45th edition, is a “deserved recognition of the work of the farmers who have made La Algaida one of the reference agricultural areas in Andalusia.” She also emphasized its role in promoting the horticultural products of the Arenas Finas brand.
Carmen Álvarez thanked the efforts of the Unión Deportiva Algaida, the event's organizer, and all collaborating companies and entities, particularly the Association of the Three Kings of La Algaida and Los Llanos de Bonanza.
She also recalled that the local government works closely with the agricultural sector and that the City Council will continue to support this festival, considered part of the identity of La Algaida, Los Llanos, and Sanlúcar, recognizing the efforts of those who work the land and promoting their exceptional healthy products.
