The operation, which took place in the early hours of August 15 on a beach near Camino de las Cañas, thwarted an attempt to supply criminal organizations. Agents detected unusual activity and established a security perimeter, preventing the loading of materials.
Several individuals fled upon the police's arrival, while a rigid inflatable boat attempted to move away from the coast. However, the security forces' swift reaction prevented the fuel and logistical equipment, designed for extended offshore operations, from being transported.
After securing the area, officers counted 222 canisters containing approximately 5,550 liters of fuel. The operation resulted in the arrest of one suspect, who has been handed over to judicial authorities. The investigation remains open to identify the remaining members of the group.
This action is part of the National Police's ongoing plans to combat drug trafficking support structures, weakening their operational capacity by intercepting their logistics and controlling supply points along the coast.
