Francisco Armario Gutiérrez, popularly known as Paco ‘El cartero’ (Paco the Postman), was born in Lebrija on May 26, 1928. He dedicated 40 years of his life to working for the Postal Service, a career marked by hard work and effort that is part of Chipiona's recent history.
Throughout his 98 years, Paco Armario has accumulated countless experiences and memories that are now part of his personal history and the town's collective memory.
The global commemoration of this day, observed since 1990, aims to recognize the contribution of older persons to the human and economic development of society, promoting healthy aging.
