The measure, aimed at making it easier for residents and visitors to enjoy the sporting event held in North America, responds to a request from the hoteliers themselves. The authorization is part of Decree 155/2018 from the Junta de Andalucía, which regulates public performances and business opening hours.
This regulation allows municipalities to permit the installation of audiovisual and sound equipment, as well as small-format live performances, provided they are for periods of less than four months.
Through a municipal decree, the council of Salobreña has informed that the installation of screens is temporary. The rule will be in effect from last July 8, the date the decree was issued, until the World Cup final on July 19.
The City Council has pointed out that this exceptional measure does not exempt businesses from the obligation to have the necessary commercial subscription or broadcasting rights to watch the matches on their terraces.
