Officers from the Motril Traffic Detachment, part of the Civil Guard of Granada's Traffic Subsector, detected the driver on May 18th during an operational speed control on the aforementioned highway.
The driver is accused of a presumed road safety offense for exceeding the speed limit by more than 80 km/h. This conduct is punishable by prison sentences of 3 to 6 months, a fine of 6 to 12 months, or community service for 31 to 90 days. Additionally, they could face the revocation of their driving license for vehicles and mopeds for a period of 1 to 4 years.
The compiled proceedings have been sent to the Instruction Section of the Court of Instance in Motril. The Civil Guard has emphasized the importance of respecting speed limits to ensure road safety.
