The tender, divided into four lots, includes the supply and installation of new accessible equipment, the execution of civil works, and the provision of technical assistance for the management and monitoring of activities along the entire municipal coastline. Companies have until November 19th to submit their bids.
These initiatives are part of the Integrated Action Plan (PAI) “Torremolinos, transforming paradise,” co-financed by the European Union-ERDF, aiming to move towards a more sustainable and accessible model for citizens.
The intervention will renovate and expand facilities at ten key points along the coast, including accessible and adapted restrooms, changing rooms, pergolas, platforms, walkways, benches, and planters. Additionally, specific amphibious equipment will be incorporated to facilitate assisted bathing for people with reduced mobility and other groups with specific needs.
The contract also covers the execution of necessary civil works, such as dismantling, earthmoving, foundations, sanitation and electrical networks, as well as waste management. Technical assistance services will be contracted for supervision, control, and health and safety coordination.
According to the tender specifications, the objective is to facilitate access, stay, and use of the beaches in conditions of autonomy and safety, with special attention to people with reduced mobility, the elderly, people with disabilities, ostomized individuals, and other groups with specific needs, thereby benefiting all beach users.
