With these additions, the municipality continues to advance in its commitment to improve accessibility and remove barriers, offering public spaces that can be enjoyed equally by all citizens and visitors.
The Councilor for Beaches, Daniel Gómez, highlighted that the availability of these reserved spaces near bathing areas is fundamental to ensuring the autonomy and comfort of people with mobility difficulties, allowing them to enjoy the Mijas coastline with greater safety.
The work to create these spaces was carried out by the operators from the City Council's Operational Services. In addition to parking, the municipality has four beaches that offer adapted bathing services and assistance for people with reduced mobility or functional diversity: La Cala, El Bombo, Royal Beach-La Luna, and El Chaparral.
The Mijas council reaffirms its goal of continuing to improve its beaches' infrastructure and services to consolidate an inclusive coastline adapted to everyone's needs.
