The green permit for residents in Cádiz will decrease from the current 70.40 euros per year to 50 euros per year starting January 1, 2027. This measure, initially approved in an extraordinary plenary session, aims to protect residents and increase parking availability in the city.
In addition to the green permit, the new ordinance also includes a reduction in the hourly rate for the orange zone, which will drop from 1.20 euros per hour to 1 euro per hour. The blue zone will maintain its price of 1 euro per hour. The permit for self-employed workers will also see its cost reduced, from 90 euros per month to 60 euros per month.
To protect residents with permits, the penalty for illegally parking in green zones will be increased in this second phase, from 40 to 80 euros.
Furthermore, the plenary session also initially approved the modification of the Ordinance Regulating the Low Emission Zone (ZBE). The modifications focus on specifying the types of tourist accommodation establishments whose users may access the ZBE with their vehicles (excluding tourist use dwellings), aligning the ordinance with municipal regulated parking regulations, and clarifying aspects of the initial text and its plans. An informative campaign about this measure will be conducted soon.
