A truck traveling on the A7 in Mijas, near kilometer 1022 close to Calahonda, caused an incident by hitting or snagging power lines. The event affected four vehicles and necessitated the closure of the right and left lanes towards Marbella. The Andalusian Emergency Agency (EMA) dispatched the Guardia Civil, Endesa (electricity company) operators, and Firefighters. No injuries were reported, and traffic returned to normal around 10:21 AM after all lanes were reopened.
Shortly before, another truck experienced a tire blowout on the same highway, the A7, but near kilometer 1045 heading towards Cádiz. This incident resulted in approximately 1.5 kilometers of traffic congestion, as the vehicle occupied part of the right lane during peak hours. The General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) reported that traffic issues from this event were resolved around 8:19 AM.
By 10:00 AM, the only remaining traffic jams were the usual ones in San Pedro de Alcántara (Marbella) heading towards Málaga.
