The Torremolinos City Council has announced the opening of the enrollment period for the Municipal Music School (EMM) for the 2026/2027 academic year. The renewal period for students already attending the school will run from June 8 to June 12. Subsequently, starting July 6, the period for new registrations will open.
This initiative is designed to streamline the process for the approximately 600 students expected to renew their enrollment, ensuring continuity for current students before offering remaining vacancies. The previous academic year saw over 700 registrations.
Students wishing to continue with the same instrument or activity must complete their renewal between June 8 and June 12, arranging their schedules for the next academic year directly with their tutors. For those with direct debit payments, renewal will be automatic. Those without direct debit must complete payment between June 22 and June 26, either in person at the San Miguel Sports Palace offices or via the 'Torremolinos Despega' App.
Students finishing the 'Music and Movement' program (ages 4 to 7) and starting 'Instrument' studies will be attended at the center's office on June 15, on a strict first-come, first-served basis. Those who do not wish to renew their place must notify the school by sending an email to emm@torremolinos.es before June 12.
New registrations will commence on July 6. The course offerings for the upcoming academic year include preparatory enrollment for 'Music and Movement' for children aged 4 to 7. From age 8 onwards, instrumental specialties such as piano, guitar, transverse flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba, and euphonium are available. Enrollment is also open for Music Theory, Choir, or Free Specialization.
The Municipal Music School maintains accessible public prices, with a general enrollment fee of 10 euros and a monthly fee of 15 euros. The 2026/2027 academic year will officially begin on September 15, 2026. Discounts ranging from 25% to 100% will be applied to specific groups, including minors under 9 years old, large families, pensioners, young people, individuals with disabilities, and victims of gender-based violence.
