The well-known Water Park, located in the Las Cañadas area, is once again available for the families of Mijas this summer. The facility, covering 1,500 square meters, uses recycled water and has undergone rigorous analyses to ensure safety, including the prevention of legionella.
The responsible councilor, Daniel Gómez, explained that the earlier opening compared to last year is in response to high family demand. "Many families were asking for it, so it is now open," he stated.
Until June 23rd, the park will operate from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM on weekdays, and from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekends. Once the school period concludes, the hours will extend to 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily.
The facilities include specialized flooring, landscaped areas, a pergola, and children's play equipment, all within a fenced area. Users are reminded of the importance of responsible use and wearing appropriate footwear to prevent falls, as well as specific rules such as supervision for children under three and a prohibition for those over 14 to use the play equipment.
