The Mijas City Council will introduce, starting next Monday, June 1st, the requirement to book a prior appointment to access the Citizen Services. This measure will be applied at both the main town hall headquarters and the deputy mayor's offices in Las Lagunas and La Cala.
The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance the efficiency of services for Mijas residents needing to carry out administrative tasks, allowing them to save time and plan their visits more effectively.
Among the procedures that will require an appointment are obtaining residency certificates and flyers, validating digital certificates, as well as registering, changing addresses, or renewing municipal residency records.
To request an appointment, interested individuals must access the City Council's electronic headquarters via the municipal website (www.mijas.es). Within the electronic headquarters, they should select the appointment section and choose the specific service required. The direct link for booking is https://mijas.sedelectronica.es/citaprevia.
It is worth noting that other municipal departments such as Patrimony, Festivals, Urban Planning, Patrimonial Liability, Infrastructure, Residency Registration or Address Change, and Industry already operate under the appointment system.
