The work, expected to be completed by the end of 2027, will be built on a 3,300 square meter plot and will have a constructed area of almost 6,500 square meters. This new facility aims to meet the current and future educational demands of San Pedro and Nueva Andalucía.
“"It will be a modern, functional, and sustainable infrastructure that will respond to the current and future needs of San Pedro and Nueva Andalucía."
The facility will include 14 classrooms for music education and seven for dance, in addition to multipurpose spaces and an auditorium with capacity for 120 people. A walkable roof, designed to host outdoor cultural activities and events, is also a highlight.
This project will allow for regulated elementary music and dance training, dependent on the Junta de Andalucía, thus preventing students from having to travel to Marbella or other municipalities. Currently, many students receive classes through agreements in local schools, and with this intervention, they will finally have their own adapted space.
The work has begun with earthworks and will continue with the foundation, piling, and structure construction. The project's design integrates into the urban environment of the southern area of San Pedro Alcántara, where a new institute and public housing are also located.
“"Our intention is to create public facilities and for the Music and Dance School to be an emblematic and iconic building."
The facility, which will have a ground floor plus a first floor and a usable central terrace, will feature an auditorium with 118 seats, 25 parking spaces for vehicles, and 15 for bicycles. This development is crucial, as more than 300 students are currently distributed across various public facilities.
