The new municipal facility will be built on a 3,300 square meter plot, with works expected to conclude by the end of 2027. This equipment has been conceived as a modern, functional, and sustainable infrastructure, designed to meet the current and future needs of San Pedro Alcántara and Nueva Andalucía.
The center will have a built area of almost 6,500 square meters, distributed into various specialized areas. It will feature 14 classrooms dedicated to music education and seven for dance, in addition to multipurpose spaces and an auditorium with a capacity for 120 people. Furthermore, a walkable roof has been designed to host outdoor cultural activities, assemblies, and events.
“"It will be a modern, functional, and sustainable infrastructure that will respond to the current and future needs of San Pedro and Nueva Andalucía."
The educational importance of this new space lies in its ability to provide regulated elementary music and dance training, dependent on the Junta de Andalucía. This will prevent numerous students from having to travel to Marbella or other municipalities to pursue these studies, providing them with their own modern and adapted space.
The works have commenced with earthmoving and will continue with the foundation, piling, and structure construction phases, followed by compartmentalization and enclosures. The project is located in the southern area of San Pedro Alcántara, a developing sector that already includes an institute, an assistance center, a sports pavilion, and public housing.
The facility will have a ground floor plus a first floor, as well as a usable central terrace. The auditorium will have 118 seats, and 25 parking spaces for vehicles and 15 for bicycles will be provided. Currently, over 300 students are distributed across various public facilities, highlighting the project's significance for the community.
