Residents of Manilva experienced a night of distress after a fire broke out in an apartment early Saturday morning. The blaze necessitated the precautionary evacuation of several adjacent homes, although fortunately, no personal injuries were reported.
The incident occurred around 3:30 AM when the 112 emergency service received an alert about a fire in a single-story apartment located on Jorge Guillén street, within the Las Higueras urbanization.
Provincial Firefighters Consortium (CPB) personnel, the Civil Guard, 061 health services, and local police were immediately dispatched. A crew from the CPB in Estepona was responsible for extinguishing the fire and carrying out subsequent ventilation and prevention tasks.
As a result of the fire, the affected apartment was completely gutted. The evacuation of the neighboring dwellings was carried out as a precautionary measure, according to confirmations from the 112 Andalusia Emergencies system and the Provincial Firefighters Consortium of Malaga.
