The Manilva City Council has taken another step to enhance its emergency response capabilities by preparing a collaboration agreement with the Red Cross. The mayor, Mario Jiménez, and the Health Councilor, Juan Carlos Morejón, met with organization officials to finalize the terms of the agreement.
The meeting included Cristina Fité, head of the Provincial Basic Emergency Response Team; Lope Javier Núñez, from the Red Cross Emergency Team in Estepona; and Ana Belén González Jiménez, Local Management Technician (TGL) of the Regional Assembly of the Spanish Red Cross in Estepona.
This future agreement will establish a framework for collaboration to improve citizen care, covering areas such as social welfare, assistance services, prevention and repair of damage from incidents or epidemics, cooperation in health prevention programs, and assistance and repair actions in the health field.
The council highlights that this initiative represents a significant advancement in coordination with the Red Cross, which will enable a faster, more effective, and organized response to any eventuality that may arise in the municipality.
