This measure, coordinated by the rescue and lifeguard service, involves the distribution of devices made from water-resistant synthetic material with a high-visibility design. The primary goal is to expedite response in potential situations of disorientation or getting lost along the 27-kilometer coastline, stretching from Cabopino to Guadalmina, in San Pedro Alcántara.
The system complements the specific action protocols already in place at the municipality's 17 lifeguard stations. Each bracelet includes a numerical code and a distinctive color, while contact details are exclusively registered by lifeguard staff and communicated to the rescue coordination center.
This method ensures personal data protection, as the device does not display visible information. In the event of a person getting lost, the lifeguard who locates them will identify the code and contact rescue coordination, which will immediately notify family members.
