With the rising temperatures and the imminent school holidays, the Fuengirola City Council, through its Youth Department, has unveiled a series of free summer camps aimed at youngsters aged 9 to 13. These initiatives aim to foster learning and fun during July and August.
In July, the Colores building will host a Science camp, divided into two sessions, exploring concepts related to life on the planet and the forces that govern it. Following this, in August, the Fuengirola Techcamp will take place, also in two sessions, focusing on programming, digital art, and 3D modeling, and including a gaming zone and tournaments.
Pre-registration for both camps is now open and can be completed through the Tarjeta Ciudadana (Citizen Card). The Councilor for Youth, Isaac Vargas, highlighted the continuity of these programs, which are organized annually at the Colores building.
In addition to the camps, the Culture Department has designed a June program featuring a dozen activities for all audiences. Highlights include the exhibition 'ARTS' at the City Museum, the exhibition 'Let’s Fest' at the Casa de la Cultura, and the painting exhibition 'Open Your Mind' by Wolfgang Durán.
June's musical offerings include three Jazz Nights on the City Hall Rooftop featuring artists such as Masha Ocean Quartet and Nacho Loring Quintet. There will also be a concert from the Iberian Sinfonieta's Community Concerts series and a performance by the Municipal Music Band.
Other notable events include the classical ballet performance 'Danzas de Don Quijote', archaeology workshops at the Finca del Secretario, the Children's Humor and Magic Festival ‘Jajejijojú’, and the XXXII Modelism Contest 'Fuengirola un sol de ciudad', dedicated to cinema and television series.
The municipal program aims to offer varied and high-quality leisure options for all residents during the summer period.
