The fire, which started near the road, has forced authorities to restrict traffic between kilometers 1054 and 1070, heading towards Cádiz. The proximity of the flames to the infrastructure was the key factor for this safety measure.
The Junta de Andalucía has raised the response to emergency phase, operational level 1. The Plan Infoca deployment includes a wide range of aerial and ground resources, including several helicopters, cargo planes, and 110 ground personnel working to contain the fire.
Authorities have urged the public to stay away from the affected area and to strictly follow the instructions provided by the emergency services on site.
