A fire broke out in a fourth-floor apartment of a building on Prolongación Avenida San Lorenzo in Estepona, affecting four people. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning, according to the Andalusian Emergency Service 112.
The 112 emergency line received multiple calls reporting the blaze around 2:00 AM. Firefighters, Local Police, and National Police units were dispatched to the scene. Firefighters, along with Local Police, had to evacuate a resident from a fifth-floor apartment.
Of the four people affected, a 64-year-old woman required transport and was taken to the Estepona Primary Care Center. The other individuals affected – two men aged 38 and 40, and a 72-year-old woman – received treatment at the scene.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the flames, which completely destroyed the affected apartment. They subsequently conducted gas checks in adjacent homes to ensure safety.
