Emergency services were alerted to the blaze around 2 AM on Calle Del Alce. Firefighters from Marbella, along with local and national police officers and paramedics, rushed to the scene.
Following an initial assessment, it was determined that the 87-year-old woman had suffered smoke inhalation due to the flames within the property. She was transferred to Costa de Sol hospital for further medical treatment.
An investigation into the causes of the fire is still ongoing.
No other injuries or updates on the victim's condition have been reported.
