The Festivities in Honor of the Virgen del Rosario, Patron Saint of Casares, begin this Tuesday, September 1st, with the procession of the image from the chapel in the Plaza to the Convent.

The commemorative events in honor of the Virgen del Rosario, Patron Saint of Casares, began this Tuesday, September 1st. The inaugural day was marked by the traditional procession of the image of the Virgen del Rosario del Campo from the chapel in the Plaza to the Convent, the venue for the main religious ceremonies of the celebrations.
The celebration commenced with a mass at the chapel in the Plaza. Subsequently, at 8:30 PM, the image was processed to the Convent. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2nd, the traditional Triduum to the Virgen del Rosario will be held, continuing until Friday. On the final day of the triduum, the presentation of children born since September of last year to the Virgin will take place.
The festive program will continue on Saturday, September 5th, the Day of the Patron Saint, a day dedicated to devotion, tradition, and community gathering. Events will begin at dawn with the traditional Rosario de la Aurora. At 12:00 PM, a flamenco mass will be celebrated, sung by the Choir of the Brotherhood, followed by a communal meal.
In the evening, at 9:00 PM, a mass will be held, preceding the procession of the Virgen del Rosario through the town's streets. The procession will conclude in the Plaza de España, where the festival's opening speech, this year delivered by Isabel María Rodríguez Jiménez, will be read. The day will end with a popular festival featuring a performance by the Orquesta Cat For Ever.
Through these festivities, Casares reaffirms one of its most deeply rooted celebrations, blending religious tradition with community gathering and citizen participation centered around its Patron Saint.
