The Board of Directors of the Benalmádena Marina has given the green light to an investment package totaling over 3.6 million euros, excluding VAT, aimed at modernizing and improving its facilities. This initiative seeks to adapt the port area to current sector needs and optimize the experience for both users and professionals.
Among the most prominent projects is the comprehensive renovation of the Nautical Center buildings, a strategic action that will involve an investment of 2,790,034.65 euros. This intervention will allow for a complete renewal of the facilities, ensuring a higher quality of service.
The plan also includes improvements to the port's electrical infrastructure, with the relocation of transformers from the Malapesquera area. This project, budgeted at 643,867.15 euros, aims to ensure a more efficient and secure supply. Additionally, the tender for the supply and installation of new access control barriers at the port entrance has been approved, with an investment of 75,300 euros, to enhance security and regulate entries and exits.
In parallel, the contract for containment and shelter works around the harbor mouth has been awarded, for an amount of 95,082 euros. This measure will strengthen the port's protection against storms and optimize its operational conditions. The Marina emphasizes that these actions are essential to continue the modernization process of its facilities.
During the Board of Directors meeting, held in 2025, other economic and organizational matters were also addressed, such as the formulation of the annual accounts and the regularization of accounting balances, among other internal management issues.
