Anastacia, the acclaimed artist known for hits like I’m Outta Love and Left Outside Alone, returns to Spain for a special performance at the Starlite Occident festival in Marbella. The concert, scheduled for July 14th, commemorates the 26th anniversary of her career in the music industry.
The singer, songwriter, and producer, whose style blends pop, rock, soul, and funk under the term 'sprock', has overcome breast cancer twice, becoming a symbol of strength and inspiration. In an interview, Anastacia expressed her deep gratitude for the longevity of her music, describing her career as a 'blessing' and an 'inexhaustible source of joy'.
“"I think, looking back and realizing my career now spans almost three decades, I feel deeply grateful that my songs have stood the test of time. The journey has been unexpected, a blessing, wonderful, fun, and an inexhaustible source of joy."
Recalling her early days, the artist mentioned the difficulties and low wages of her twenties, admiring figures like Janet Jackson and Madonna. She highlighted how her distinctive voice, initially a hurdle for fitting into radio, became her personal signature, allowing her to explore diverse musical textures.
Regarding her performance at Starlite Occident, Anastacia noted that it feels more like a celebration tour than a conventional one, appreciating the continued support from the Spanish audience. If she had to choose one song, she would opt for Left Outside Alone, emphasizing its vocal and structural complexity.
The artist also reflected on a potential alternative career as a therapist for individuals with disabilities or vulnerable children, showing her desire to help. Finally, she praised the 'incredible passion' of her Spanish fans, who transmit a unique energy to the stage.
