The province of Córdoba is preparing for a weekend of meteorological instability, with the Aemet issuing a yellow alert for precipitation and storms. This warning will be in effect from 4:00 PM on Friday, April 24, until midnight, a period during which accumulations of up to 15 liters per square meter are expected.
The capital of Córdoba will also be affected, with a 100% chance of rain throughout Friday and overcast skies. Temperatures will range between a minimum of 12 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 22 degrees Celsius. On Saturday, April 25, instability will continue intermittently, with an 85% chance of rain until 6:00 AM, reducing to 45% until noon, and then rising again to 75% between 12:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Temperatures for Saturday will be between a minimum of 13 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 23 degrees Celsius.
Despite this adverse forecast for the beginning of the weekend, the Aemet has ruled out rain for Sunday, April 26, the day of the traditional Battle of the Flowers, an event that marks the beginning of Córdoba's May Festival. For this Sunday, sunshine is expected, along with a slight increase in temperatures, with lows remaining at 11 degrees Celsius and highs potentially reaching 27 degrees Celsius.
