The province of Córdoba has reached a new milestone in tourist accommodations with 2,949 dwellings of this type registered, totaling 15,216 spots available. This data, published by the National Statistics Institute (INE), shows a slight year-on-year decrease of 0.7% in the number of properties but a significant increase in accommodation capacity.
The capital city of Córdoba consolidates itself as the main tourist hub, concentrating 80.7% of the province's tourist dwellings, with a total of 2,379 units. Despite a slight drop compared to the previous year, the figure is considerably higher than that recorded in 2020, when the experimental statistics began.
Regarding the offered spots, the capital also leads the statistics with 11,283, representing 74.1% of the provincial total. The average number of spots per tourist dwelling in the province stands at 5.16.
The INE report also highlights that the percentage of tourist dwellings relative to the total housing stock in Córdoba is 0.71%, falling below the national average (1.28%) and the regional average (1.94%). Provinces like Málaga and Cádiz show considerably higher percentages.
At the Andalusian level, municipalities such as Nerja and Conil de la Frontera exceed 15% of tourist dwellings compared to their total census. Within the province of Córdoba, only Zuheros (2.25%), Cardeña (1.60%), and the capital itself (1.53%) surpass 1%.
The INE details that the data collection is based on the current regulations of each autonomous community and applies deduplication algorithms to ensure the accuracy of information extracted from major accommodation platforms.
