The police operation began in January when agents of the National Police in Córdoba identified signs of potential irregular labor activity on a farm located in the municipality of Almodóvar del Río. This situation led to a detailed inspection of the premises.
During the inspection, investigators found nine individuals performing agricultural tasks. Of these, eight lacked the necessary administrative documentation to work in Spain, making them potential victims of labor exploitation. The workers were taken to police facilities for proper identification and subsequent arrest for violating immigration regulations.
Investigations confirmed that the employees did not have employment contracts or social security registration, which constitutes a clear violation of current labor rights. It was determined that the farm managers financially benefited from this irregular workforce, evading their legal obligations and exploiting the workers' vulnerability.
As a result of these actions, agents proceeded to arrest the three individuals responsible for the farm and worker management. They are charged with crimes against workers' rights and against the rights of foreign citizens, highlighting the authorities' commitment to protecting labor rights and combating exploitation.
