The award, valued at 278.52 million euros, covers the main lot for logistics and weapons systems maintenance infrastructure. The bid from the Dragados-Magtel-Heliopol consortium was deemed the best "quality-price ratio" by the Ministry, meeting all documentary and guarantee requirements.
This agreement represents a saving of 41.4 million euros compared to the initial bidding value of 319.9 million, a reduction of 12.9%. The awarded companies will have an execution period of 36 months to complete the core of the Support Logistics Base (BLET), focusing on the warehouse facilities.
Following this decision, a period of 15 business days is open for other competing companies to submit appeals. If no appeals are filed, the contract will be definitively formalized, pending certification of the documentation by the Contracting Board.
The second lot, focused on administrative and service buildings, was previously awarded in June to the consortium Ferrovial Construcción and Vías y Construcciones for 65.6 million euros, although the documentation required by Defense is still pending finalization.
Major construction sector companies participated in the tender, including Cordoban firms like Jicar and Sepisur, in addition to Magtel, which will now be part of the winning consortium. Defense anticipates that the Logistics Base could be operational by 2029.
