The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, urged participation this Friday in the Andalusian elections next Sunday, defending the socialist vote as the only way to "resume the path of progress" in Andalusia.

Alongside the general secretary of PSOE of Córdoba, Rafi Crespín, and local candidates, Planas called for the mobilization of the progressive electorate. He stated that the socialist vote is the "only real alternative to the deterioration of Andalusia caused by the right-wing policies".
The minister expressed confidence in "high turnout" and emphasized that the importance of these elections "demands massive mobilization of Andalusian citizens". He highlighted that in recent years, "public services have suffered unacceptable wear and tear in areas such as healthcare, education, and social services", and advocated for the need to "resume the path of progress and transformation that the PSOE historically promoted".
Planas vindicated the socialists' role in building "modern, democratic, and European Andalusia", and criticized the "lack of proposals from the Popular Party during the electoral campaign", asserting that the region's future "does not involve standing still, but rather advancing, transforming, and improving people's lives".

The importance of these elections demands massive mobilization of Andalusian citizens.

For her part, Rafi Crespín highlighted the PSOE's campaign "based on closeness, humility, and fair play", focused on denouncing "the serious deterioration of public services in Andalusia, especially public healthcare". She warned that the community "currently leads in the number of private health insurance policies, cancer mortality, and the lowest per capita spending on public healthcare", a situation that "is worsening the lives of the majority of the working and middle class".

When a family has to go into debt for their children to study, contract private health insurance, or pay for care and assistance that should be guaranteed by the public sector, it means that Andalusia is living worse than eight years ago.

Crespín insisted that "without strong public services, there is no dignity or equal opportunities" and urged undecided voters to support the PSOE as the force capable of leading an alternative to the Popular Party and reversing the policies that "are weakening Andalusia".
