The town of Montemayor, located in the Córdoba countryside, will become the epicenter of national cycling next Sunday, April 12, by hosting the 51st edition of its Cycling Grand Prix, which will bring together nearly 200 riders.
The event, presented by Antonio Martín, Sports Delegate for the Córdoba Provincial Council, is significant as it is the third of nine competitions that make up the 2026 Junior Spanish Cup. This competition underscores Montemayor's importance in the elite sports calendar.
The race will feature the participation of 26 teams and approximately 200 cyclists from various regions of Spain, ensuring a high level of competition. The route, spanning 117 kilometers, will be divided into two laps, promising a great spectacle for fans.
Key points of the course include the Mountain Prize at Llano del Espinar, crucial for the race's development, and an intermediate sprint located in Montilla, which will award points on both passes and add an extra tactical component to the competition.
In its 51st edition, the Montemayor Grand Prix is shaping up to be a demanding and dynamic race, where riders will need to manage their effort and seize every opportunity to excel.
