The Social Security registered a total of 82,870 beneficiaries of the Minimum Vital Income (IMV) in Córdoba in July, compared to 64,734 in the same month of 2024. This 28% increase in the number of people receiving the benefit is in addition to the rise in beneficiary households, which reached 26,645 in July, up 28.79% from 2024.
The average amount of this aid in Córdoba stands at 436.33 euros per household per month, a figure lower than the Andalusian average (486.73 euros) and the national average (504.53 euros). The province of Córdoba is the second in Andalusia with the lowest benefit, only surpassed by Huelva.
Regarding the profile of beneficiaries, 52.81% are women (43,763 people) and 60% are adults (49,734 people), while 40% are minors (33,136). In terms of nationality, 95.84% of the heads of the 26,645 beneficiary households are Spanish.
The gross amount of payrolls paid in Córdoba last month amounted to 12,377,888 euros, the third lowest figure in Andalusia. The IMV, approved in May 2020, has resulted in payments of over 561.5 million euros in the province since it came into effect.
Additionally, the Complement of Aid for Children (CAPI) benefited 19,767 households in Córdoba in July, with an average aid of 68.24 euros per minor. In total, 34,033 minors in the province received this additional support.
