The city of Córdoba is preparing to host a special night dedicated to the music of Mecano, whose songs have defined generations. The event, titled 'Mecano Inimitable', will take place at the Gran Teatro and aims to raise funds for the San Rafael Association for Alzheimer's and Other Dementias, a local entity committed to caring for individuals affected by these diseases and their families.
The performance will begin at 8:00 PM. Tickets are priced at 18 euros for stalls and 16 euros for other seating areas. This initiative offers an opportunity to enjoy a musical evening while supporting the association's daily work in improving the quality of life for those living with Alzheimer's and other dementias.
The show promises a journey through three decades of songs, blending live music, theatre, humor, and impersonations. The audience will be able to reconnect with the universe of Mecano and some of the most recognizable voices from the 80s and 90s.
Leading the production are Chely Capitán, who voices Ana Torroja, and Nacho Lozano, known for his impersonations. Musical direction is by pianist Nico Barrena. The repertoire will also feature songs by artists such as Tino Casal, Joaquín Sabina, Antonio Orozco, David Bisbal, Marc Anthony, and Antonio Vega.
For approximately 90 minutes, the show will combine nostalgia with comedy and surprise, inviting the audience to sing along and be moved by songs that are part of the collective memory, all presented with a dynamic and theatrical approach.
