The penultimate day of the 2026 Patios de Córdoba contest, known as the 'grand Saturday,' experienced a significant turnout of visitors. Even though the awards had already been announced, the streets of emblematic neighborhoods like Alcázar Viejo were filled with long lines of people eager to access these UNESCO World Heritage sites.
This year's winning patios include Guzmanas, 7 in the Ancient Architecture category, Barrionuevo, 43 in Modern, San Basilio, 44 in Singular Patios, and Plaza de San Rafael, 7 in Conventual. However, for many attendees, the real prize was the chance to enter and enjoy the floral beauty, even if the visit was limited to a few minutes.
The queues, described as 'infinite human rivers,' stretched through the streets, highlighting the event's popularity and the dedication of the patio caretakers, whose efforts are rewarded by public admiration.
