The Córdoba-based musical ensemble will perform a program including works by Joseph Haydn, as well as pieces by Johannes Brahms. The concert will open with the overture to La isla deshabitada, composed by Haydn in 1779.
Following this, young cellist Guillem Gràcia Soler will perform the Cello Concerto No. 2 in D major, a work by Haydn from 1783. The second part of the evening will feature Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Symphony No. 25 in G minor, KV 183, composed at just 17 years old.
The concert will conclude with Johannes Brahms's Variations on a Theme by Haydn, Op. 56, a piece that marked the composer's full recognition.
The presence of the Orquesta de Córdoba in the Jerez venue is part of the Andalucía Sinfónica program launched by the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía together with the Fundación Unicaja.
Maestro Christian Vásquez is recognized for his charisma and powerful interpretations. Cellist Guillem Gràcia Soler has performed in major halls, with a repertoire spanning over four centuries of music.
Tickets for the concert, taking place this Friday, June 5th, at 7:00 PM, are priced at a single rate of 15 euros.
