“"This Management Plan is very important to curb the touristification of the Historic Quarter, to recover its residential character, to select events that can be held there, reducing them and avoiding discomfort for residents, and to prevent the deplorable image with increasingly abundant plastic flowers and promote cleaning and maintenance plans for the historical-artistic heritage."

The socialist group in the Córdoba City Council has urged the implementation of the Historic Center Management Plan, approved eight months ago, with no actions initiated or an execution timeline established.
The Córdoba Historic Quarter Management Plan was definitively approved by the Local Government Board in September 2025. This document includes the creation of a consultative, coordination, and monitoring body, which would integrate representatives from the Ministry of Culture, the Regional Ministry of Culture of the Junta, the City Council, and the Cabildo of the Mosque-Cathedral. Its objective is to contribute to governance and oversee the actions to be implemented.
However, eight months after its approval, the commission has not been formed, and the planned actions have not begun. For the socialists, this plan is crucial to contain the touristification of the Historic Quarter, revitalize its residential character, regulate events held in the area to avoid disturbing residents, and improve the heritage image, combating elements like plastic flowers and promoting cleanliness and maintenance.
Furthermore, solidarity has been expressed with residents' complaints regarding the entry of Rally Sierra Morena vehicles into the city center, which has created safety risks and evident discomfort among inhabitants.
